17 Aug 10 Amitabh praises Rajnikanth
The audio CD of the Hindi version was released yesterday in Mumbai. The film is titled The Robot. The film is being released worldwide next month. Kalanidhi Maaran, Rajni, Shankar and Aishwarya Rai participated in this function. Amitabh Bachchan was the chief guest. While speaking in this occasion, Amitabh Bachchan said,” It is always a happy thing to be with Rajni. Such kind of actors will appear once in thousand years. The true son of the Indian soil is Rajnikanth. Rajni is a role model for each Indian citizen. I like his honesty and simplicity. Though he had fame and name, he lives a simple ordinary life. I have never seen such a great person, friend and actor. “ When Shankar spoke, he said,” Robot is not a Tamil, Telugu or Hindi film. It is an Indian film. This film will show the talents of India to others.”
Kalanidhi Maaran has produced the film Endhiran under the Sun Network banner. Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai have done the lead role. The film which has the music of A R Rahman is directed by K Shankar. This film is being released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.
17 Aug 10 Namitha speaks about the vamp role
Since the director told me that it was a different and strong role, I agreed to do the role. There was lot of acting scope for me in this film. Suresh Krishna had sculpted my role in a fantastic way. There was lot of expectations and sensations while I was acting in this film. Many who had seen the film appreciated my acting. Director Suresh Krishna had said that the film has come out well. Kushboo madam after seeing the rush of the film phoned and congratulated me. The director told me that Chief Minister M Karunanidhi who had written the story, screenplay and dialogues has appreciated my acting. I am yet to see the film. 
When asked whether she is doing vamp role in the film Ilaignan, she said,” It is true. I am donning a meaty role like how Ramya Krishnan did in Padaiyappa which was equivalent to Rajni role.
17 Aug 10 Jayaram does a lead role in Tamil film
After Julie Ganapathy which was released in 2003, Jayaram had acted in character roles in films like Saroja and Dhaam Dhoom. Now he is doing the lead role in the film titled Sabash Sariyana Potti. Sree Ranjani is pairing with him. Thaman is composing the music. The story of the film is about a popular film hero. His relatives force him to enter politics. What happens after this is rest of the story. Comedy is given importance in this film. The shooting of the film has been completed and is expected for an early release. 
After a long time, Jayaram is acting as a hero in a Tamil film titled Sabash Sariyana Potti. T V actor Venu Aravind is directing this film.
17 Aug 10 Bharathi in her second innings
While speaking about this, she said, ‘I had acted in ten films in Tamil and Malayalam languages. The last film I acted was a Malayalam film titled Ayudham which had Suresh Gopi in the lead role. Ammuvagiya Naan earned me a good name. But because of my marriage I was not able to act in films. Now I have a daughter. I have fulfilled my family duties. So I am getting ready to act in films. Since I was very careful about my physique after my marriage, my physique will look same as before my marriage I know it is very difficult to get heroine roles after marriage. That is why I am now choosing character roles that have significance.”
Bharathi had earlier acted as heroine in films including Ammuvagiya Naan. But all of a sudden she quit acting because she got married. Now once again she is gearing up to act.
17 Aug 10 Hashika speaks tells that how she got the acting chance
Sree Mahesh who had directed Chatrapathi is now directing a film titled Malar Mel Nillai Palli. Prem Naseer is doing the lead role. Hashika, a new face is pairing with him. When asked Hashika that how did she get the chance to act, she said,” This is my first film and my name in the film is Malar. I am very happy. I am donning the role of Plus 2 student. I am acting as a good girl of parents. In real life I am not scared of anything. But I will respect my parent’s and affection. The cinematographer of this film saw my photos and recommended me for this role to the director. Since the director also liked me, I am acting in this film. I am studying BE Second year in Bangalore. Apart from studying I use to participate in the fashion shows. I also acted in Ad films for the popular jewellery and textiles show rooms. Right from my young age I am learning classical dance. After getting the chance to act I am concentrating on dance a little more. Next I will be acting in a Telugu film which has Mohan Babu’s son Manoj. I am also signed for two more Tamil films. But only after the release of Malar Mel Nillai Palli, the others will come to know that which role will be suitable for me. I know Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and English languages. I will act in homely as well as glamour roles.”
